Utah County 4-H Honors Afterschool Club Leader–Eric Ferrin

Mr. Eric Ferrin, mathematics teacher at Spanish Fork Junior High, was recently honored as Afterschool Club Leader of the Year by Utah County 4-H.

Mr. Ferrin has volunteered to be a club leader for the 4-H Afterschool program every term since it began at Spanish Fork Junior High four years ago. He leads a 3-D Computer Art and Animation Club and a Roller Coaster Tycoon Club. The students learn technical skills as well as how to run a successful business. He is key in running a successful parent showcase.

Besides being a teacher at Spanish Fork Junior High, Mr. Ferrin has a large number of additional responsibilities such as taking care of the school’s computer needs, serving on the Community Council, and the Accreditation Committee. He also volunteers to help other departments when in need.

Mr. Ferrin loves interacting with students. He is extremely dependable and organized. Spanish Fork Junior is fortunate to have Mr. Ferrin as a volunteer leader.
