Blaine Bartholomew, a Spanish Fork Junior High student, won First Place in his science project category, Earth and Environmental Science, at the BYU Science Fair. Blaine's project titled, "Shooting Ranges Lead to Toxic Soils," won Grand Champion for the Junior Division. Blaine is also a Broadcom Masters Champion.  He is probably most excited that he won cash of $175!  The awards ceremony was broadcasted online and he is mentioned at about 12:45, 15:20, 17:14 in the video for his awards. Congratulations to Blaine Bartholomew for his hard work to earn this distinction!
