Frank Daybell - Operations Coordinator

With the appointment of Matt Gledhill as the Operations Director, the Nebo Board of Education appointed Frank Daybell as the Operations Coordinator. Mr. Daybell received his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and a master’s degree in Administrative Education from Southern Utah University.

For the past two years, Mr. Daybell served as principal at Spring Lake Elementary and was previously the principal at Taylor Elementary for six years. He served as the instructional coach at Goshen Elementary and taught at Sage Creek Elementary for six years. Mr. Daybell received Rookie Principal of the Year in 2010 and was selected as the Sam’s Teacher of the Year in 2007. He has served on the Nebo Education Foundation for the past four years.

One of Frank’s colleagues said, “Frank is successful in establishing a genuine and positive relationship with those whom he works. He genuinely cares about each individual and makes everyone feel as though they are the most important person in the world. He consistently shows exceptional management techniques with some of our most difficult people. Frank is an extra-miler in every respect and is willing to undertake any assignment that he is given.”

“I want to thank the School Board, Superintendent Nielsen, Julie Warren, Steve Maughan, and my wife. I am excited to work with Matt Gledhill and look forward to working and making an impact on our school system. I am grateful to my fellow elementary principals, teachers, and staff. There is no better job than being an elementary principal,” said Frank. “I have loved every position I have held in education. Being a principal at Taylor Elementary and Spring Lake Elementary has allowed me to work with wonderful staff, parents, and especially students. I look forward to my new position and getting to work with new people.”

One of Frank’s mottos is “Treat others the way you want your spouse and children treated.” He stated, “My parents made a difference in my life. They always taught me the value of hard work and shown me the importance of treating all people with kindness and concern regardless of their position in life.”

Frank enjoys gardening, hunting, reading, and ATVs and is a Hunter Education Instructor. Frank is married to Angie, and they have five children.
