In May, students from five different elementary schools competed in the first ever Nebo District Mathlete Olympiad.  The event was held at Maple Ridge Elementary with students from Sierra Bonita, Barnett, Westside, and Sage Creek.  Top performing math students from these schools were given 10 complex math problems to solve in a 30 minute time frame.  Students were judged on accuracy (number correct) and time (how quickly they solved the problems).  All students who competed were given a certificate and Mathlete T-shirt.  It was a fun event for all involved.
