Clifton Jex Appointed Transportation Supervisor

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Clifton Jex as the Transportation Supervisor for Nebo School District. Mr. Jex received an Associate's Degree from Utah Technical College in Diesel Mechanics in 1976. He has worked for Nebo School District for the past 35 years in the transportation department as a bus shop foreman, parts room purchaser, and a diesel mechanic. 

Mr. Jex served on many committees and held leadership positions including contract negotiations, district insurance committee, separation pay committee, and Utah School Employees Association (USEA) local representative. 

Some of Cliff’s accomplishments have included being part of the team that consistently receives Gold and Silver Awards from the Utah Department of Transportation during the semiannual inspections. This team has also received recognition by the Utah Highway inspections over the past several years and honored for safety. Cliff is instrumental in assisting technical services in the development and design of software used in the transportation department. Cliff is committed to hard work and teamwork.

When Mr. Jex’s name was announced as the new Supervisor for Transportation, he received a standing ovation by fellow transportation employees. Cliff stated that his parents gave him a proper upbringing and made all the difference in his life.

Some of Cliff’s hobbies include car restoration, drag racing, restoring a 1969 Camaro Z28, and riding his Harley. He is married to Alyce, and they have two children.
