THE PEAK AWARD CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM

Nebo School District showcases our Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education.

December 2014 PEAK Award Winners:

Winner: Norma Jean McConnell, Sweeper, Mapleton Elementary
Nominated by: Lori Bradford
“Norma is a wonderful employee who isn't afraid of work. She knows how to clean and does it well. We have had some major toileting issues in our first-grade area restrooms, and she is right there closing the contaminated area off and quickly disinfecting it. She evens unclogs the ugly clogs.

“Norma is kind and loving and helps us to teach about being responsible for ourselves. I am in a UEI unit. She heard us teach a fall science lesson, and she asked if she could teach us a song about fall leaves. The students loved the song. They especially love Miss Norma, and they don't want to leave messes for her.”

Winner: Claudia Shaffer, Teacher, Sage Creek Elementary
Nominated by: Teresa Mati & Jan Marie Cannon
“Mrs. Shaffer and our wonderful Chinese teachers have worked hard to provide an excellent Chinese emersion program. I really appreciate the way Mrs. Shaffer and the others have really gone the extra mile.”

“Mrs. Shaffer has served and helped my girls, going the Extra mile for reading... I will always be grateful.”

Winner: Christine Beardall, Secretary, Salem Junior High
Nominated by: Jordan Blanchard
“Christine always has a smile on her face and is so helpful to students, parents, and staff. I have talked to her at the end of a day when she says she is so tired. Then a person needing help will come in, and she puts her smile back on and helps.  Christine really puts the needs of our students, parents and staff before her own.”

Winner: Chris Hall, Secretary, Spanish Fork Junior
Nominated by: Anne Cook & Mark Bake
“As a new Finance Secretary I constantly have questions on TES Software and other book keeping practices. Chris Hall has been my go to person. There are days that I feel like I call her a million times, and she is always so kind and never seems to be bothered. Chris helps me realize that I am doing okay. It's nice to be able to feel that I can count on others to help me through the difficult times.”

“Chris Hall's exceptional service is not a one-time shot. She consistently treats everyone with prompt, accurate, humorous, and effective service. Chris provides immediate help when people need her services, and that she does it all without complaint.”

Winner: Amy Darrington & Kristen Money, Special Education Teachers, Canyon Elementary
Nominated by: Jamie Hamblin

“Amy and Kristen took time out of their busy schedule to help the 4th-6th grade teams learn how to use the Dibels program for struggling students. They were patient as we asked several questions. They made sure we got our copies and assisted us in using this program to better help our struggling readers. They are willing to go above and beyond what was asked of them. Teachers who do whatever it takes to help students learn and make the work environment better are amazing.”
