Spanish Fork High Receives Award from UVU -- Answer to Wednesday's Challenge

Submitted by lana.hiskey on

Utah Valley University (UVU) awarded Spanish Fork High with the most concurrent enrollment students in Utah Valley. Spanish Fork has over 700 students currently enrolled in classes where they receive college credit. Possibly 62 percent of the students are receiving college credit (unless the same student is enrolled in more than one class).  Spanish Fork High offers classes in chemistry, auto body, English, health, Math 1010, Math 1050, music, nutrition, physical and sports education, and Spanish. Instructors need to have a master’s degree or meet all UVU’s adjunct instructor qualifications to offer the preceding courses.

Salem Hills High is the next closest Nebo high school with just over 500 enrolled. Springville High had the biggest increase in concurrent in enrollment with 63 percent increase over last year.

Congratulations for encouraging students to take advantage of cost-effective college credit.

Our winner for Wednesday Challenge on October 10, is Jonathan Lawrence, Dean of Students at Mt. Nebo Junior.
