Kids Cause Making a Difference

Submitted by lana.hiskey on

Kids Cause started over 18 years ago and continues to make a difference in the lives of children. It began as a way to meet the serious needs of students and now is able to provide emergency dental and vision care, hearing aids, clothing and school supplies.

Kids Cause began with Title I schools and has expanded to 23 schools with coordinators in Nebo District. At the May Nebo School Board meeting, Bonnie Palmer, a volunteer with Kids Cause, honored Sandra Lewis, an original Kids Cause coordinator who has spent her life in service. Lewis has taught both in schools and in the LDS Missionary Training Center. She has 5 children and 14 grandchildren. Lewis continues to serve Kids Cause as a coordinator and volunteer. Thanks for all your hard work, Sandra!

Brent Gordon, another volunteer with Kids Cause, honored Dr. Frank A. Siddoway. Dr. Siddoway graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry and has been in private practice since 1985. He resides in Mapleton with his wife, five daughters, and one son. Dr. Siddoway enjoys all aspects of family eye care including pediatrics, vision therapy, contact lenses, and geriatrics. He is a member of the Utah Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Thanks for all you do, Frank!

This year, Kids Cause will host its annual golf tournament on Monday, June 4, at the Sleepy Ridge Golf Course. The tournament will feature LaVell Edwards as the golfing celebrity.
