Submitted by lana.hiskey on

Three students from the Nebo Youth Philharmonic Orchestra including Shaylee Balls, violinist from Salem Hills High; Kyle Hutchings, bass clarinet player from Spanish Fork High; and Diana Parkin, oboe player from Payson High were selected to perform with the Utah Symphony in a special All-Star evening held May 15, 2012. This event features selected students from youth symphonies throughout the state of Utah.  Students are selected on their musicianship and dedication to the groups in which they perform. All three students have been members of the Nebo Youth Philharmonic for three years. They attended several rehearsals with Utah Symphony mentors and also worked with Associate Conductor Vladimir Kulenovic. Also featured on the program was 13-year-old Aubree Oliverson, a violin phenomenon, from Orem, Utah, who has received rave reviews throughout the United States and just completed her third album.

Congratulations outstanding musicians!
