On April 25, 2012, Nebo School District’s sixth-grade orchestra students took center stage--well actually, the whole stage at Salem Hills High School to present Nebo District's 4th Annual Sixth-grade Orchestra Monster Concert.
Approximately 230 students and their teachers participated in a massed performance of pieces. The students arrived from 18 different Nebo elementary schools. The performers received an appreciative standing ovation from the "filled to capacity" audience of appreciative families, friends, and school officials.
Participating schools included Art City, Barnett, Brookside, Canyon, Cherry Creek, East Meadows, Foothills, Hobble Creek, Mapleton, Mt. Loafer, Rees, Riverview, Sage Creek, Salem, Sierra Bonita, Spanish Oaks, Spring Lake and Westside. The event was coordinated by Jeri Crosby, district elementary music specialist.
