Dennis Long is Nebo Transportation’s January Employee of the Month. He was nominated by Jim Moshier.
There are many people involved in the safe transport of students and some are unseen people who work hard in the background. These people work long hours in heat and snow with little acknowledgment.
Dennis might seem rough and tough to people who don’t know him well; but under that tough exterior, he cares about the drivers and the kids. He is always working hard to help keep the buses well maintained and running safely. He insures that none of the buses in his care leave the lot in an unsafe condition. He is quick to resolve problems, and support the drivers in their duties and schedules. Thousands of children ride every day and count on the equipment to get them there on time and safely.
Without dedicated bus technicians like Dennis and the team he works with, the whole system would collapse. Dennis cares about more than a paycheck. He uses his training and skill to keep operations running smoothly and is due a hardy “Thank you!”.
Jean Taylor was nominated by Radonna Sudweeks as Nebo Transportation’s January Employee of the Month.
Jean began driving bus for Nebo School District in 1980. She loves being on a special needs route and loves the children on her bus. Jean retired once in her driving career; but due to the passion she has for driving a school bus, she decided to return to what she loves to do.
Jean has 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) and 11 grandchildren (9 girls and 2 boys) that she loves more than life itself. Her sister Carol is her lifelong best friend. They’re there for each other through thick and thin.
Jean also danced for Jean’s Golden Girls for five years. Man! She was awesome! Jean is a big Denver Broncos fan, but the one thing she loves more than that is her dog Ruger. Ruger definitely keeps Jean on her toes.
Jean, you are a good friend to everyone around you.
Nebo Transportation would like to congratulate Dennis Long and Jean Taylor for being our Outstanding Employees for January 2012.
