Jeffrey D. Peterson – Assistant Legal Counsel

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Jeffrey D. Peterson as the assistant legal counsel for Nebo School District. After consolidating and reassigning some job duties from multiple personnel retiring, Nebo will have Mr. Peterson will working on district policies and 504 assignments.

Mr. Peterson earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 2002 and earned a Special Education teaching license from BYU in 2005. He also received his Doctorate Degree in Law from J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU in 2009.

Mr. Peterson has had a varied employment background including practicing law at Henderson Law Offices in Logan, Utah; teaching English at BYU; as well as teaching special education in Wasatch and Provo School Districts.

Reed Park, current district legal counsel, said, "All of our candidates were excellent. It was a very difficult decision. We are excited to have Mr. Peterson working for the students of Nebo School District."

Jeffrey has been involved with ultimate frisbee, the Burley Lions Club Spudman Triathlon, and the St. George Marathon. As a student, Jeffrey was involved with the Provo Food and Care Coalition program. He enjoys scouting, hiking, camping, spending time with his wife, and reading to his children.
