Cafe Rio Gives $2,500 to Nebo School District

Café Rio, Spanish Fork, had their grand opening June 8, 2011, and presented a check of $2,500 to Nebo School District. Bob Nilsen, Chairman of the Board, said they want to help and give back to the community and especially to the schools in this area.

Café Rio will be offering outstanding student awards each week and outstanding faculty awards once a month. Café Rio is in seven states and was awarded the Number 1 Mexican Restaurant in the country for customer satisfaction out of 140.

Scott Wilson, Assistant Superintendent, and Lana Hiskey, Public Information Officer, both of Nebo School District accepted the generous check. The money will go to help fund the many grants requested by teachers for their students and classrooms. The grants fund science, math, technology, language arts, and fine arts to name a few.

Those presenting the cash award were Bob Nilsen, Chairman of the Board; Bob Baker, president; Abe Hollands, Chief Concept Officer; Brenda Ricks, Director of Community Relations; Javier Urive, General Manager of Spanish Fork.
