Lynn Mecham – Assistant Principal of Springville High

Lynn Mecham was appointed by the Nebo Board of Education as the Assistant Principal of Springville High.

Lynn Mecham received his bachelor’s degree elementary education from Brigham Young University, and his master’s in Educational Counseling from University of Phoenix. He is currently working on his doctorate degree from Walden University.

When speaking to the Nebo School Board, Mr. Mecham said, “I have made friends that will last forever. I want to thank Matt Gledhill and Steve Maughan for their great support. They are great to work with. And thank you, J. Lynn Jones, for hiring me. I am excited to get back into the schools and be with students. I have great respect for Mike Brown and Scott Johnson. I appreciate your confidence in me.

Mr. Mecham started teaching second grade at Taylor Elementary and then taught sixth grade at Springville Middle.  He spent 10 years as a counselor at Payson Junior High. He has served as Assistant Principal at Springville Middle and Mapleton Junior High for three years. Mr. Mecham is currently serving as the Transportation Supervisor for Nebo School District.

When asked about his thoughts, Lynn said, “I want to make a difference in the lives of teachers, students, and co-workers by being an educational leader.”

Lynn loves coaching youth hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, golfing, and any other sport. He is married to Karen, and they have seven children.
