Wilson Elementary students delighted the Nebo School Board of Education this week. Principal Ron Penrod introduced the students and mentioned that Wilson Elementary had just celebrated their 50th birthday in 2010.
Diana Hunt, a parent, led the student afterschool choir in two songs titled "When You Walk Through a Storm" and "Fireworks".
The School Community Council Chairperson, Rachel Ortega, reviewed goals and successes for the school.
Gina Warren, staff developer, introduced four students, Abbie Walker, Allison Nielsen, Riley Deeben, and Allison Hunt. These students presented "The Lion's Roar Challenge" The challenge includes setting academic, citizenship, personal and participation goals. Wilson tries to make sure the goals are attainable but also challenging and rewarding.
