Spanish Fork Math Teacher Receives Surprise $500 Prize

Keith Richards, a math teacher at Diamond Fork Junior High School in Spanish Fork, was surprised this past week by Horace Mann insurance agent, Craig Harvey. Another $250 will go to the school as part of the "Win $ Win" Sweepstakes.

How did Keith win the donation? Educators and other school employees across most of the United States could enter the "Win $ Win" Sweepstakes before November 11, 2010, with drawings held at scheduled dates in August, September, October and November 2010 for educators.

The sweepstakes award went to 81 recipients totaling $78,000, The award amounts ranged from a grand prize and donation of $10,000 and numerous $2,000, $1,000 and $500 awards. Half of the total award amount is given to the prizewinner, with the other half donated in the winner's name to one or more not-for-profit, education-related organizations as defined in the official rules.
