Nebo School District Benefits from United Way in Utah County

Submitted by ts on
The United Way of Utah County organized a "Day of Caring" from which Nebo School District benefited with various service efforts. Volunteers from several organizations, BYU, Culinary Crafts, Women in Philanthropy, showed up in Nebo School District at the Nebo Learning Center. The volunteers put Phonics Lessons together for the new teachers in the district. There was also a significant amount of work done at Shadow Mountain. Scott Carson, Shadow Mountain Director, said, "On behalf of the Nebo School District and the Shadow Mountain Staff, let me again thank all of those in your organization who participated in the day of service at Shadow Mountain last week. The amount of work that was accomplished just blows me away! We benefited more than I could have hoped. The camp looks better than I have ever seen it and the students that come up next season are going to have a richer experience as a result of your efforts. It is truly heartwarming to know that your work was given in the true spirit of giving and service. I walked around the perimeter one last time before leaving last week and I felt so good about what had been accomplished. Thank you again for all of your efforts on our behalf."
