East Meadows delighted the Nebo School Board of Education with their profusion of learning strategies. The students and teachers demonstrated learning through document cameras, Star boards, and Smartboards. It was amusing to watch the students and school board test their knowledge on science questions using clickers, which provide immediate feedback to both teacher and students.
The audience and school board then had the pleasure of listening to a drama selection and recorder music by the fourth-grade students.
The community council representative, Meghan Warren, reported that East Meadows continues to test above state and national norms. They have developed an after-school program through 4H that continues to be successful. This amazing school is directed by Principal Dwight Liddiard. He said, “East Meadows does well because of the exceptional students, faculty/staff, and our parents and community. I enjoy being a part of such an incredible school.”
