Nebo All State Choir Students Perform at Salt Lake Tabernacle

Submitted by lana.hiskey on

Last weekend, January 26, 2019, Nebo had nearly 100 students representing all five Nebo School District High Schools at the Women’s and Men’s Honor All-State Choir held at the Salt Lake Tabernacle provided by the Utah Music Educators Association (UMEA). The Men’s and Women’s choirs had about 400 students each and were conducted by Utah choir teachers Merrilee Webb director at Dixie State and Rob Swenson (a former graduate of Spanish Fork High) director at American Heritage School. Each choir sang five pieces they had previously prepared and two combined numbers. Nebo District represented about 15 percent of each choir.

Choir teacher at Salem Hills High, Justin Bills, stated, “Students reported that this was a ‘life changing’ experience! We had a great group of students who are awesome representatives of Nebo District!”

Congratulations Nebo Hero students!
