First Day of School for Nebo School District Students

August 21, was the first day of school for Nebo School District students. Many students received the “red carpet” royal treatment on the first day. Some students opened the year by honoring the American flag as a symbol of our free country.

Students were excited to see their friends again and get to know their teachers. One student, Brielle, said, “I can’t wait for library day so I can read more books.”

Teachers and staff were thrilled to have the students back in the classrooms. Superintendent Rick Nielsen said, “Students truly are the focus of all we do.”

Nebo School District is starting the year with over 33,000 students and 4,500 employees. Each year Nebo averages around 500 additional students and hires around 270 new teachers.

Welcome Back Nebo students!

Congratulations to Carson Czarnik on answering this week’s “Where are we Wednesday?” contest.
