Robert Fleming – Human Resource Coordinator

Robert Fleming was appointed by the Nebo School Board of Education as Human Resource Coordinator for Nebo School District. He will fill the vacancy left by Sandra Jarvis upon her retirement. Robert received his bachelor’s degree in history and his  master's degree in Education Leadership both from Brigham Young University.

Mr. Fleming has worked for Nebo School District for 22 years. The last three years as principal at Salem Junior High, the previous five years as principal at Spanish Fork Junior, and two years as assistant principal and one year as Dean of Students at Payson Junior. Mr. Fleming taught twelve years at Payson Junior High including history, geography, and physical education. Also, he coached basketball, tennis, and track.

One of Robert’s colleagues stated, “Robert is very professional, always handling situations with integrity and respect. He works well with others and seeks to understand where they are coming from before deciding how to handle the situation, which will work well in this new assignment. Robert is vision oriented, knowing that the district’s success lies within building a positive academic and social culture–one that is equitable, collaborative, and dedicated to excellence.”

Robert thanked the School Board and Ken Van Ausdal for this opportunity. “In any organization, it is the people that makes the difference. I hope to help Nebo School District continue to attract, retain, reward, and train great people to work with our students,” said Mr. Fleming. “I will certainly miss my association with the students, parents, and staff at Salem Junior High.”

Robert enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, gardening, and traveling. He is married to Lena, and they have three children.
