Spanish Fork High Welding
Spanish Fork High Welding students constructed a special tree to honor a former Don, Kiplyn Davis, that went missing twenty years ago. This would mark her 20th year reunion as a Spanish Fork graduate. Kiplyn loved life. She had a vibrant personality and known as  a social “butterfly”.

The tree and the three drift trikes hanging from the tree were designed and fabricated out of aluminum by SFHS welding students. The themes of “Butterflies” and “Family” were implemented throughout the project.  The drift trikes were built to represent a tradition here at SFHS Welding.

Shaun Black, welding teacher, said, “The welding students really enjoyed fabricating the drift trikes to represent a tradition here at SFHS Welding and in memory of a Don who will not be forgotten. We appreciated the opportunity to serve the community.”

Spanish Fork High School welding students and teacher expresses their appreciation toSAPA Extrusions, SF Walmart, RM Davis Construction, Outer Beauty Supply, Ideal Machine, MSquared Racing, Clair and Brenda Christensen family, Matt and Marcy Romero, Stacy Hayward, Allen Moore, Jocelin Blohm, Chandee Norris, D & D Trucking, Thurza Gordon, Jill Johnson, Carolyn, Susan, and Barbara.

Spanish Fork High FFA
Spanish Fork High FFA gave a gift of love to the Festival of Trees held in Sandy, Utah. This year the officers chose the theme of "Color Christmas".  Students donated over 250 coloring books, sets of crayons, markers, and colored pencils to help with the tree. In addition, FFA members spent time making and coloring ornaments.

Kaylee Liddiard, adviser, said, "We would like to thank all of those who made the tree a success."

The officers delivered the tree Monday, November 28, to the South Towne Expo Center. All the donated trees were auctioned off with all the proceeds going to the Primary Children's Medical Center. The tree was loved by children and committee members for being happy and cheerful. This year, SFHS FFA's tree was purchased by an Anonymous sponsor for $1,900. They gave the tree to the Children's area at Intermountain Health Care. The coloring books, crayons, etc. are being used for children with autism and other children that won't have Christmas!
