THE PEAK AWARD CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM
Nebo School District wants to showcase our Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education. The award is administered by the Communications and Community Relations Department.

An’Jalee Burningham, Counselor, Taylor & Meadow Brook Elementarys
Nominated by: Billi Robbins & Ryan Pitcher
“When An'Jalee enters the building everyone smiles. She brings such a ray of sunshine with her wherever she goes. She is constantly helping someone. As counselor at Taylor, she is very aware of many of our students’ needs and goes above and beyond to meet them. Not only does she meet one on one with students, but she does an amazing job going into the classrooms and teaching all students the life skills they need to be successful not only here at Taylor but in the future.

“An’Jalee not only inspires and uplifts the students but also the staff. During Christmas break, on her time off, she was seen delivering Sub for Santa for students at our school that would not have had a good Christmas without her. Every school needs an An'Jalee Burningham, but I am thankful she is ours!”

“This is the first year I have worked with An'Jalee Burningham and have been so impressed with her ability to work with the students. I have noticed that she has a talent to get kids to like and trust her very quickly after meeting them. An’Jalee is always positive and looks for ways to help other faculty members. One experience I had recently was with a student that refused to leave the hallway and go back to class.  I had been working with the student for about five minutes trying to get him to go back.  An'Jalee came out of her office and asked if I wanted her to try. I walked a few steps away while she went to talk to the student and literally within 30 seconds they were both walking to the office. I am still trying to figure out how she did it. She has been a wonderful addition to Meadow Brook.”

Sharilee McMullin, Teacher, Orchard Hills Elementary
Nominated by: Clint Peery
“Sharilee continues to go above and beyond helping her former students. She brought our son donuts to our house after he broke his arm. He has been out of her class for two years; and yet, she continues to help and care. Sharilee is a perfect example of how a teacher can positively influence their students for years after teaching them. Both of our kids go say, ‘hello,’ to Mrs. McMullin each morning, even though our daughter hasn't even had her as a teacher. She has created an environment where kids feel loved, cared for, and special in their own individual ways. Sharilee is exactly what I hope all teachers are: caring, loving, personable, and makes each feel special just by knowing her. Our neighbors, friends, and community members all have their own amazing Mrs. McMullin story. She truly is a special teacher.”

Jeanette Maughan, Facilitator, Canyon Elementary
Nominated by: Jamie Hamblin
“Jeanette exemplifies a master teacher, and I have always looked up to her. But this year, I noticed just how positively she impacts our school as a facilitator. She goes out of her way to check on everyone and makes everyone feel genuinely appreciated. She even brings by a treat to those having a rough day. Jeanette does not hesitate to help wherever she is needed, no matter the job. She is very level headed and keeps things in the proper perspective. Jeanette is a calming influence that makes an extremely positive impact on our school. If the only person you knew from our district was Jeanette, you would want to work here and have your children educated here. She comes early and stays late, is extremely kind, and gets things done. Parents and students love her, teachers and staff look up to her, and everyone respects her!”

Clint Cornwall, Teacher, Cherry Creek Elementary
Nominated by: Corinne Briggs
“My son is in Mr. Cornwall's class and can be quite a challenge due to his diagnosed high-functioning autism. In recent months, it was decided to take my son out of the special education program and to be fully integrated with the general education program. Mr. Cornwall has been extremely patient with my son and has provided timely feedback regarding my son's behavior, both positive and negative. Despite the challenge of my son's difficulties, I can tell that Mr. Cornwall truly cares about my son and his other students He wants all of them to succeed. Mr. Cornwall’s excellence in teaching is reflected in the high number of awards his students are able to achieve with his encouragement.”

Stephanie Galt, Instructional Coach, Sierra Bonita & Barnett Elementarys
Nominated by: Dana Beckert, Mike Larsen, Angela Stoddard, Camie Simpson
“Stephanie works with everyone on our faculty with kindness, calmness, and a positive attitude. There isn't a task she won't help with or a student or teacher struggle she won't solve. Stephanie has genuine concern for all of our faculty, students, and families. I know Barnett would not be the great school it is without having Stephanie a part of our faculty.”

“Stephanie is a hard worker with positive energy! She is willing to go above and beyond to do whatever it takes to help teachers and students. I am incredibly impressed with her abilities and knowledge base as I have had the privilege of working side by side with her to improve the literacy skills at Barnett Elementary. She is constantly looking for ways she can help and thinking about how she can support us all. I would be thrilled if she could be recognized for all that she does!”

“Stephanie is extremely knowledgeable about effective instructional practice and is skilled at communicating this knowledge to teachers and staff. Stephanie continually provides support to staff members throughout each area of the school. In all aspects of teaching and learning, Stephanie is proactive in providing resources and insights for the betterment of Sierra Bonita. Stephanie takes the time to get to know each member of the staff, so she can better address their needs and the needs of their students. Stephanie is joy to be around and boosts enthusiasm and morale for the important work we are about.”

“Stephanie is the Instructional Coach at our school, so she provides service to ALL grades in reading, writing, all things literacy, but also does so much more. She has volunteered to help teachers with management concerns, she has worked with our reading technicians, our ESL technician, and our SPED department. She helps with supervision wherever needed, and is amazing at providing professional development in any area.”

Everett Kelepolo, Principal, Springville High
Nominated by: Trent Mikesell
“We are grateful to have Dr. Kelepolo as our principal at SHS. He is easy to talk to and is leading us in a positive direction. The students held an assembly and asked teachers to dance. They wanted an equal number of male and female teachers, but they were having a hard time finding male teachers. Dr. Kelepolo volunteered to dance and his example brought many other teachers into the dance. The students loved seeing their principal dancing in the middle of the gym, and it was also a positive example of leadership to faculty and staff.”
