2016 Summer Chess Camp in Springville

Once again we are excited to offer a two-day summer chess camp here in Springville, Utah!  To register, email cartersbs [at] hotmail [dot] com (cartersbs[at]hotmail[dot]com) with your child's name, grade, and school.  By May 18 mail a check for $50 to Paulette Carter, 185 North 1440 East, Springville, Utah 84663.

• June 1 and August 4 at Art City Elementary in Springville, 9 am to 3 pm both days.
• Open only to grade K-9 students in the Nebo School District area who have participated in an Art City or Nebo District chess tournament.
• $50 total (covers the two days), $40 per additional child.  
• Register and pay by May 18.  No refunds.
• Camp fee includes a gold subscription to chesskid .com (12 months if priced as expected).
• Anticipating 50-75 participants.  Capped at 75.
• Everyone bring your own sack lunch June 1.   Lunch provided Aug 4--pizza.  Snacks provided both days.
• June 1 is instruction and fun.  Aug 4 is instruction and fun in morning, tournament in afternoon. 
• We'll encourage participants to use chesskid .com during the summer, to prepare for the tournament.  Incentives will be announced.
• We'll split into groups.  Groups will rotate to get similar instruction. 
• Prizes given to anyone who solves the chess puzzles at their level.  
• Run by the chess coaches at Art City Elementary and Reagan Academy.
