Four amazing Springville High School students were recognized in December’s City Council Meeting for their efforts in prevention and mental health awareness.  Ali Earnshaw, Stephanie Garcia, Julia Gonzales and Payton Acor received the Springville Mayor’s Recognition Award.  They were congratulated by Councilman Chris Sorenson.  All the young ladies are members of the high school and community club called “ASAP.”  Their goals are to educate other students on the dangers of substance abuse and promote positive mental health.  In October, the four helped organize and host a suicide prevention workshop with Hope4Utah’s Greg Hudnall for SHS students and the community.  They also spread their positive energy and giving spirit by recently sponsoring a Sub for Santa family through United Way.

These four young ladies also excel in academics, school leadership and athletics.  Springville is proud to have such positive, hard-working role models.
