THE PEAK AWARD CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM

Nebo School District showcases our Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education.

November 2014 PEAK Award Winners:

Winner: Travis Young, Teacher, Payson Junior
Nominated by: Larry Webster

“Travis Young is very caring and goes out of his way to help anyone in need.

“If all of us could be like Mr. Young, not only the district but the world would be a far better place. When others tell him they can’t do something, Mr. Young says, ‘You don't know until you try.’”

Winner: Nikki Argyle, Software Support, Technology
Nominated by: Michele Pulido

“I was having difficulty with my new account at school.  Nikki took good care of me. She had my account up and running and was so friendly and energetic while talking with me on the phone.  I appreciate her service and attitude.

“It confirmed to me that there are people out there who not only take what they do very seriously, but they help solve problems with calm, positive attitudes.  Love it!”

Winner: Michele Whatcott, Skill Building, Westside Elementary
Nominated by: Charlene Hall

“Michele works with students who struggle with inappropriate behavior at school. She is very pleasant to work with and is always very patient and kind when she is working with students--even when they are physically combative. When I leave a student in her care, the student will be treated with the utmost respect, love, and concern for his or her wellbeing.

“It is wonderful that the district sees a need for a position like Skill Building, and employs and trains fabulous people like Michele!”

Winner: Troy Peterson, Principal, Diamond Fork Junior
Nominated by: Melissa Laing & Brad Jex

“Mr. Peterson has helped my daughter who has an IEP. He goes out of his way to show care and kindness. I had to put two other daughters on the 504 plan because of health issues. I can go to Mr. Peterson with any concern and he will help.”

“I have had many opportunities to work with Mr. Peterson. Sometimes we have not always seen eye to eye. When things were so challenging, Mr. Peterson showed nothing but professionalism and respect for all parties. His communication was always prompt in keeping me informed, and he worked well with me and took the time to listen to my concerns.”

Winner: JoAnna Hall, Registrar Counseling, Payson High
Nominated by: Brenda Gillie

“Everyone is always busy and has their to do list, things to accomplish for the day. It is hard to get through the list when other people are always coming in and asking for help. JoAnna is one of those people who can get her own job done plus help others.

“Joanna is always friendly, cheerful, and willing to help anyone who walks through her door. She is the one that I call any questions regarding the counseling center. JoAnna is usually laughing about something, and her laugh is contagious. JoAnna is great with students and parents.”

Winner: Venice Kimball, Teacher, Park elementary
Nominated by: Adam Gull

“Mrs. Kimball is solid as a rock when it comes to teaching. With all the challenges that come every day, nothing seems to shake her up. Mrs. Kimball takes everything in stride. She is constant, and most of all, she is happy and cheerful. Students love her.

Mrs. Kimball is a dear friend to everyone on our faculty and very willing to help at any time. She has graciously handled the challenges that she has been given.

Mrs. Kimball exemplifies a PEAK performer in her quiet, yet, solid ways.
