Nebo’s Christmas Card Winners

Nebo School District held a district-wide contest where many talented elementary students competed for the coveted honor of designing the Nebo School District’s Christmas card.

The First Place winner is Rebecca Carter, sixth-grade student from Larsen Elementary in Spanish Fork. Gwen Sorensen is her teacher. Rebecca’s artwork was mailed to over 4,000 Nebo School District employees.

The Second Place winner Abby Garrett, sixth-grade student at Hobble Creek Elementary in Mapleton. Lisa Nissen is her teacher. Abby’s artwork is on the Nebo Education Foundation’s Christmas card and went to hundreds of generous people and businesses that donated throughout the year to the Nebo Education Foundation for students of Nebo School District.

The Third Place winner is Emma Shuman, fifth-grade student at Sierra Bonita in Spanish Fork. Melissa Green is her teacher.

Honorable Mention went to Vanessa Memmot, fifth-grade student at Sierra Bonita in Spanish Fork. Laura Elzinga is her teacher. Honorable Mention also went to Emma Mousser, fifth-grade student at Hobble Creek in Mapleton. Allison Snow is her teacher.

All of these students received recognition for their hard work and efforts. Thank you to all the hundreds of students who participated in this year’s Christmas card contest. Nebo has many talented artists and is thrilled to recognize some of them.
