Students at Spanish Fork High & Maple Mountain High Win National Awards

Students from Spanish Fork High School and Maple Mountain High School, in Nebo School District, competed for the State of Utah in the National SkillsUSA contest this summer. 

Spanish Fork High SkillsUSA adviser, Zac Taylor, addressed Nebo School Board of Education and said, “Students gathered from all parts of the U.S. to see who was the very best. To be able to go to such a competition is an accomplishment beyond measure. We are here to recognize the great students in the community who have exemplified the skills that will help them be successful in their careers and life. To my knowledge, we have never had a National winner represent Nebo District for SkillsUSA. This year we had six students from Spanish Fork High and Maple Mountain High compete.”

This group has more than 300,000 students and advisors join annually organized into more than 17,000 sections and 52 state and territorial associations.
