Nebo School District welcomes Brenda Black as the newest payroll secretary to replace Marie Ashworth since she retired.
Mrs. Black earned her Associates Degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University with academic honors and graduated with honors from high school. Her new career will include processing employee job changes, verifications of employment, W-4 changes, and direct deposits. She will also correspond with and report to the Department of Work Force Services and help with payroll.
Brenda serves in the LDS church, with community service projects, and teaches piano to children in the community. She enjoys traveling, camping, 4-wheeling, playing the piano, reading, watching movies, and being with her family.
One of Brenda’s mottos is: “I believe we can achieve great things in life if we are willing to work at it. We choose our own destiny.” One of her favorite quotes is by Oliver Wendell Holmes, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
Brenda is married to Brad, and they have five children. She states, “I really enjoy working for the school district. It is a great place to be and am excited to join this elite team of professionals.”
