Monica Giffing, Agricultural Education teacher and FFA Advisor at Springville High School, was selected for Utah's Agriculture Outstanding Agriculture Teacher Award. Members of Utah Association of Agricultural Educators (UAAE) select members who are at the pinnacle of their profession—those who are conducting the highest quality agricultural education programs. The award recognizes leadership in civic, community, agriculture/agribusiness, and professional activities. Outstanding agricultural educators are innovators and catalysts for student success in agricultural education.

Monica was recognized for her commitment to student success, innovative teaching strategies, and program growth. She will represent Utah Agricultural teachers at a regional level with the hopes to compete nationally in December at the National Association of Agricultural Teacher convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
