Laurie Hansen, a Salem Hills High Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) adviser, is a recipient of the National Master Adviser Award from the Utah FCCLA Conference. This award recognizes advisers who have been successful in advising an affiliated chapter for a minimum of three years, promoting the organization, operating an integrated chapter with a balanced program of work, facilitating youth centered activities, and keeping abreast of new happenings within the organization.

Nikki Sue Larkin, the Utah FCCLA State Adviser stated, “Laurie is a perfect example of what type of adviser is a recipient of this award. She believes in the mission of FCCLA, which is to promote personal growth and leadership. She encourages positive character development and career preparation when working with students. We appreciate all of Laurie’s efforts to continually support FCCLA and her helping students grow by motivating, guiding, sharing, and supporting students.”

Laurie will represent Utah in Nashville, Tennessee in July. Congratulations on “Letting it Shine”.
