Mr. Rob Keddington will be retiring at the end of this school year. The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Ryan Kay as the Principal of Park Elementary for Nebo School District.

Mr. Kay is currently the Title I Coordinator for Taylor Elementary. He has taught kindergarten at Brockbank and Mapleton Elementary Schools in Nebo School District and at Foothills Elementary in Jordan School District.

Mr. Kay graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education as well as a master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University.

Principal Frank Daybell said, “Ryan is very approachable and his leadership style involves serving others. Ryan would never give an assignment that he would not be willing to do himself. I was impressed with how quickly Ryan learned the names of the students. This has made him a favorite with students and their parents. Ryan has been a crucial piece in our school’s PLCs over kindergarten and first grade. Ryan will lead a school to new levels.”

One of Ryan’s mottos is “If you don’t do it for the income, you do it for the outcome!” He said, “I am looking forward to being a Park Panther. I know that Mr. Keddington will leave a great legacy at Park, and I am proud to follow in his footsteps.”

Ryan has chaired the Onion Days Parade and currently chairs the Juab Demolition Derby.  He enjoys driving demolition derby cars, working in the yard, and 4-wheeling.
Ryan is married to Neeley, and they have three children.
