Nebo School District was part of a Nation-wide “Love the Bus” program. Our students had the opportunity to give recognition and appreciation to our bus drivers that keep our students safe while they travel to and from school each day as well as field trips.
One boy excitedly exclaimed to his teacher when boarding the bus at Barnett, “I am so excited, this is my first time ever to be on a school bus!”
The students learned about bus safety features before the approaching spring field trips. The transportation department plans to provide this type of training each year for students and especially those students that do not ride the bus daily.
Nebo’s 138 buses travel 12,478 miles each day and 2.2 million miles a year.
