Parent Teacher Conferences Change to Student Led Conferences

The traditional Parent Teacher Conferences will be replaced beginning this 2nd term with Student Led Conferences on January 14th. This gives students the opportunity to celebrate what they have learned and accomplished as well as giving them greater control in taking responsibility for their learning. Your student will make an appointment with their AP teacher, who acts as the facilitator for the meeting, the first 20 minutes of the meeting the student will discuss with their parents what they have been doing in their classes and will show them artifacts to support what they know. After this meeting, parents and students are welcome to go around the school and discuss with teachers individual concerns they might have. To help keep parents informed three separate Progress Reports will be sent home or mailed. We also encourage Parents to use the SIS computer system.
