Science Courses Offered

Integrated Science
This class integrates physical, earth and life science concepts. Curriculum includes the particulate nature of matter, earth structure, cellular biology, genetics and classification of living things according to structures and characteristics they have in common.

Earth Systems
Earth systems will integrate Earth, physical, space and life sciences.  The major goals for this class include the study of energy flow, life webs and matter cycles.  Students will explore the geologic processes, the importance of water in Earth systems, and the flow of energy from the sun through the major Earth systems.

Biology
Requires concurrent enrollment in Geometry or Algebra II & straight A’s in eighth grade Math and Science classes. Biology is a general course in life science.  Students in this class will enjoy the broad field of all living organisms, how they function, and how they fit into the scheme of all living things on the earth.  Human reproduction, genetics and ecology are also discussed.
