Courses Offered
Math 7
Pre-Algebra
Must have shown mastery of entry level skills through placement test and have the approval of the junior High math department.
Algebra IA
The focus will be on order of operations, solving equations, and working with rational and irrational numbers. Students will work with linear relationships and their corresponding representations in tables, graphs and equations. This course is designed for students who need further review in fundamental algebraic principles.
Algebra I
The focus will be on order of operations, solving equations, and working with rational and irrational numbers. Students will work with linear relationships and their corresponding representations in tables, graphs and equations. Teaching will focus on the concepts in depth, enabling students to apply mathematical skills.
Geometry
The focus will be on logic, angle and line relationships, triangles and other polygons, congruences and similarities. Students will also study coordinate geometry, trig ratios, area, and volume.
Algebra II
The focus will be primarily on functions, namely exploring functions, investigating their behaviors and graphing. Types of functions that will be explored are quadratic, inequalities, exponential, logarithmic, polynomial, absolute value, radical, basic trigonometric and linear.
