Reading for Enjoyment/Enrichment
A class designed for those who love to read. (This is not a reading skills or remedial class.) "Reading for Enrichment" will emphasize reading for entertainment and joy. Students will read, discuss, and share ideas about a great variety of books. Creative methods of reporting about books will be encouraged. The intention of the class is that students will read and enjoy what they read. they will share recommendations of favorite books. They will be encouraged to expand their reading to genres they may not have discovered yet.
Yearbook/Journalism
This exciting class is offered to students that would like to write, edit, and publish the school newspaper and yearbook. Students will study the collection and editing of news and the production of a newspaper as well as creating multimedia. A signed recommendation/application from an English teacher is required.

Creative Writing
This class is for those who enjoy writing stories, poems, song lyrics, and other genres. It is a writer’s workshop format with plenty of time for creating, collaborating, sharing and “publishing.” Grading is based on participation.
