General Music
Students explore the National Standards of Music Education* at the basic level.

Percussion I
Beginning percussion instruction for those in their first year of percussion. Skills will be developed on Snare Drum, Timpani, Auxiliary Percussion, and Keyboard Percussion. Because of the fast-paced and broad nature of this course, at least 2 years of piano lessons and audition are required.

Percussion II
Intended for 8th and 9th grade percussionists in their 3rd and 4th years of playing.  Technical and musical skills gained from experiences in Band and previous percussion classes are reviewed and expanded.  A user fee of $50.00 will be required.

Band I
Continues last year's sixth grade training of brass students as well as provides training in the fundamentals of playing brass instruments for new beginners. Basic working knowledge of music literacy and ensemble performance skills reviewed and expanded.

Band II Concert Band - (Woodwind/Brass)
Intended for students in their 2nd or 3rd year of playing woodwind and brass instruments.  Opportunities for performance include music festivals (music performance assessments) in the spring.  Students who play larger instruments may rent from the school for $50.00.
Prerequisite: Band I (or equivalent) and teacher approval
