Credit Recovery

Students needing recovery credit must receive a referral from their counselor prior to receiving portfolios. Students may only complete credit for which they are referred.

Students need to come for a brief orientation on Thursday between 3-6 p.m. and meet with either Brian Davenport or Sue Ann Harding. At this time student may recieve their first portfolios. Any additional portfolios may be submitted or picked up during Credit Recovery Lab times (Tuesday - Thursday 3-6 p.m. in room 132.)

Students will have 90 days to complete portfolios to recieve credit. Because of the deadline, only .50 credits will be given to a students at a time (2 Portfolios.) The final deadline for ALL credit recovery is May 13, 2010. The final day t receive portfolios is May 6, 2010.

Each porfolio has 4 components to it. Students will complete a packet, vocabulary activities, 2 projects and an in-class assessment.

• The packet, vocabulary, and projects are completed individually.
• The in-class assessment must be completed in the Credit Recovery Lab at Landmark High School. (Tuesday-Thursday 3-6 p.m. Room 147) The last test will be handed out no later thatn 30 minutes before closing.
• Once all 4 components are completed, students will put all their work in the envelope provided, seal it, and return it for grading.
• Portfolios will be graded and credit will be emailed to counselors as well as a hard copy sent through the IMC.
• Portfolios that doo not pass with a minimum of 80% (B) will be returned to students to be improved so they may receive credit.
• Any student caught plagiarizing will receive zero credit for their portfolio and will be given an opportunity to redo their assignments. Students who show a pattern of plagiarism may lose access to credit recovery and may be referred back to their home school for future credit recovery.

** Credit Recovery will closed during any Non-teaching days and holidays through the school year. Refer to the Credit Recovery Calandar.
