We have enabled Personal Websites for the
staff domain but not the
student domain.
Your personal website resides on the same server
as your email in a directory using a tilde ("~") and your
login name. For example, Fred Flintstone's
personal web page would be
http://staff.nebo.edu/~fred.flintstone/.
Your main web page must be called default.html.
If somebody tries to hit your personal website but
you haven't created a main web page they will get a
"404 - File not found" error message (specific web browsers may add
text to the error like "the page cannot be found").
Yes, there are storage limitations on your personal web page. You will not be able to upload additional files if your allotted storage is used.
How many web pages can I have?
The main way to load files to your personal website if through the WebMail interface. However, this can be cumbersome if you have a large number of files to load.
From within the district, you can FTP files to your personal website. For security reasons, this is not allowed from outside the district.
