One student’s idea of not letting anyone at Spanish Fork High be forgotten on Valentines Day was huge success with many participating and sharing the love. Two Utah companies, Mrs. Call's Candy Company and V Chocolates, supported the students with their goal so all students and faculty were remembered and valued on Valentines Day.

Nebo School Board Receives the Master Board Award for the Sixth Year in a Row

Governor Herbert recognized Nebo School Board of Education with the prestigious Master Board Award (MBA) for the sixth year in a row. The MBA award recognizes excellence in leading public schools in local neighborhoods and strengthening communities across the state. Governor Herbert stated that as leaders in Utah, it is critical that we work together to ensure high achievement for every student.

Nebo's Winter Academic All-State Winners 2018

Nebo School District is very proud of the many student athletes to be awarded Academic All-State for Winter sports. Each of these athletes achieved a GPA between 3.9 and 4.0. Congratulations on a job well done!

Educators Lobby for Continued Afterschool Programs

Nebo educators met with the Utah Senate to lobby for continued funding for afterschool programs. Nebo currently has 1,260 students participating and each program provides 11 hours each week. Each day, 280 Nebo students are taking advantage of inspiring after school instruction and activities.

Nebo School District Area Annual Chess Tournament 2018 - Answer to Wednesday Challenge

The seventh annual Art City Chess tournament was held on Saturday January 27th at Art City Elementary School in Springville, Utah. There were 17 Nebo Elementary Schools, three charter schools and five homeschool students for a total of 120 students that participated in the tournament and about 250 supporters to cheer them on.  We want to thank all those who helped in any way to make this tournament a success.  The results of the tournament are as follows:

Jesse Sorenson – Payson Junior High Principal
The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Jesse Sorenson as Principal of Payson Junior High School Principal in Nebo School District.

Mr. Sorenson earned his bachelor’s degree in English Education from Utah Valley University and his master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University.
