Four of Nebo’s High Schools Receive Athletic Academic Distinction 

Four of Nebo School District’s high schools received state recognition for their athlete’s academic performance. In 4A Spanish Fork High placed first and Salem Hills High placed second.  In 5A Maple Mountain High placed second and Springville High placed third for the Directors Cup through the Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (UIAAA).

Fiesta Days Rodeo Partners with Nebo School District Children

One of the top rodeos in the nation, the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo recognized 20 students in Nebo School District for their success in the Rodeo Reading Challenge.
These top student readers received tickets to the Fiesta Days Rodeo, Justin boots, Wrangler Jeans, and a Resistol cowboy hat as well as be involved in the opening ceremonies on Monday night of the Fiesta Days Rodeo.

Many Nebo Students Showcased in Local Parade

Almost all the Nebo School District high schools were represented at the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days parade including elementary age students in the Freedom Walk entry. Nebo has many remarkable students that showcased their talents and leadership in band, student council, auto body, welding, theater, FFA, cheerleading, dance, and more.

Nebo loves the July 24 Fiesta Days parade.

Nebo Students Engage in UVU PREP Summer Program

UVU PREP (Pre-freshman Engineering Program) is a free STEM Summer program for middle and junior high students, which provides three summers of rigorous academic instruction, educational hands-on projects, challenging homework assignments, daily career awareness and field trips. The summer program lasts about seven weeks each summer in June and July.

Nebo Students Learn Additional Financial Literacy through Central Bank

In the 2018 - 2019 school year, Central Bank employees taught 1,819 children from nine Nebo School District elementary schools as part of the American Bankers Association (ABA) “Teach Children to Save Program.” Each year, Central Bank employees look forward to spending many hours participating in these local financial literacy programs that benefit and strengthen the communities of Utah County.

Advanced Learning Center Student, Hunter Moses, Wins First Place at CTE Expo

Hunter Moses, an entrepreneurship student at the ALC won the Big Shot Pitch Competition. He received $250 for his first-place finish. All of Nebo School District’s CTE programs participated in the expo, including Business/Marketing, Health Sciences, Skills & Trades, Family & Consumer Science, Ag Science, and Technology & Engineering students.
  
Hunter presented Mrs. Ewell with one of his beautiful hand-turned pens for instrumental encouragement on creating a professional pitch deck presentation.

Best of State Spanish Fork Junior & High School Orchestras

Angela Harman teaches orchestra at Spanish Fork Junior High (SFJHS) and Spanish  Fork High School (SFHS) in Spanish Fork, UT, where she has helped the orchestra program grow by over 440% since 2012. Under the direction of Angela, the Spanish Fork Junior High school orchestra has excelled at festivals.  Her advanced orchestra was been selected to perform at the State Orchestra Festival in 2016 and 2017. Each of her groups consistently receive Superior ratings.
