Goshen Elementary Earns Nebo #Hashtag Award

Congratulations to Goshen Elementary, in Nebo School District, and their school PR person, Courtney Adams, for earning the Nebo #Hashtag Award. This award is given to the school that communicates to their parents and students, in a variety of ways, the events and important news items happening at school. Goshen has posted over 15 stories a month. The school also has over 265 percent of their student enrollment connected on social media to get the latest news from the school.

Spanish Fork Legion Hosts Third Annual Freedom Walk - Answer to Wednesday Challenge

The Spanish Fork Legion Post 68 organized the third annual Freedom Walk for Spanish Fork and Salem fifth-grade students on May 7 & 8, 2019. Members from various branches of the military came and told stories to almost 1,200 fifth-grade students from 13 schools over the past two days.

Michael Sorensen – Assistant Principal of Diamond Fork Junior

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Michael Sorensen as Assistant Principal of Diamond Fork Junior for Nebo School District, replacing Rhet Rowley who will be moving to Mt. Nebo Junior High.

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and a master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University.

Gregg Smith, history teacher at Maple Mountain High, has dedicated his entire adult life to the students he serves. This is apparent in the appreciation and affection that generations of students have for him, even decades after he was their teacher in school. He makes history come alive as he is a quintessential storyteller.
