Diamond Fork Junior on KSL for Donating to Hope for Houston

Sam Penrod with KSL came to Diamond Fork Junior, in Nebo School District, today that will air today on Wednesday, August 30 at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. You won't want to miss it. 

One student in particular, Tytus Elmore, wanted to make a difference and mentioned it to his counselor. It was then brought to the attention of the administration. They brainstormed and came up a fund raiser to help the Hope for Houston cause down in Texas. Students and faculty alike came dressed in their Texas cowboy duds and brought a dollar for the cause. 

Nebo Advanced Learning Center Open House


Nebo School District is excited to announce the opening of our new Nebo Advanced Learning Center (ALC) Salem location. The Advanced Learning Center provides early college and career courses for high school students. ALC also provides UVU live interactive classes for adults. Please come join us and see what today’s learning looks like at the ALC. The open house will be on Tuesday, September 19, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The ALC building is located at 161 East 400 North, Salem.  

Nebo Students Enthusiastic for New School Year

Fresh school supplies, a change of season, and fall colors emerging mean it’s time for a new school year. Over 32,000 students in Nebo School District returned to school this past week and while some may mourn the end of summer, many are excited at what a new year will bring. Across Nebo School District, teachers and staff welcomed the students back with enthusiasm.

“It’s been nice to have life back in the building,” Orchard Hills Elementary Principal Ryan Murray said. “You go all summer and it’s pretty quiet. I love feeling the excitement level come back.”

Three Nebo High Schools Honored through Directors Cup

Three of Nebo School District’s high schools received state recognition for their athlete’s academic performance in 4A. Maple Mountain High placed first, Salem Hills High placed fourth, and Springville High placed fifth for the Directors Cup through the Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (UIAAA).

Nebo Educators Honored at BYU Football


Brigham Young University, McKay School of Education, invited educators to once again attend a football game where teachers could be honored for their service to the community.  This activity honored the powerful influence of teachers in the lives of their students.  Thank you, educators, for all you do!

Nebo Athletes put Aside Rivalry to Honor Soccer Goalie

On Thursday, August 17, the Maple Mountain Lady Golden Eagles Soccer team met rival Salem Hills on the pitch. Before the game, the athletes paused to honor Salem Hills goalie, Nikki Finau, who has been diagnosed with Leukemia.

The Lady Golden Eagles presented pink roses to the members of the Salem Hills soccer team and wore pink headbands in honor of Nikki.

Nebo Peak Center Ready for Students

Nebo School District opened its doors to the Nebo Peak Center in Salem. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by more than 200 people with district officials, city officials, chamber of commerce professionals, faculty and staff, and most importantly students that will be taking classes at this modern facility.

The entire area will house the Advanced Learning Center (ALC) formerly in Springville, a fieldhouse, warehouse, and maintenance building for Nebo School District on a 13 acre site.

Jake Jones, SFHS, Selected FFA National Finalist

The National FFA Organization announced today that Jake Jones, from Spanish Fork High in Nebo School District, was selected as a national finalist for the National FFA Proficiency Award in Wildlife Production and Management - Entrepreneurship/Placement. Jones is one of only four people chosen to compete for this award at the national finals to be held this October during the 90th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.
