Meet Nebo's New School Board Member - Lisa Rowley

Lisa and her husband, Chad, have had many opportunities to volunteer and serve in public schools. Lisa was involved in the PTA on a school and district level, Room Mother, School Community Councils at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. She also served on the Nebo Education Foundation Board as vice president. Lisa enjoyed working at Santaquin Elementary in the ESL program for 12 years.

Nebo School District Employees Win Safety Award

Nebo School District received the E-MOD Hot Rod Safety Award by the Utah School Boards Insurance Association (USBIA).  The USBIA honors school districts that promote workplace safety through their E-MOD Hot Rod recognition program.

Superintendent Rick Nielsen and district Risk Manager David Gneiting accept the E-MOD Hot Rod Award. Gneiting said, “We thank all Nebo School District employees that make working safely a personal priority. Those who have not consciously made that decision, please jump on the band wagon and make workplace safety a priority.”

Junior High School Youth Board meets with Nebo School District Board of Education - Answer to Wednesday Challenge

The Nebo School Board of Education and Superintendent Nielsen meets with students from each of the high schools and junior high schools on a quarterly basis. Each Youth Board representative is selected by his/her principal to be a spokesperson for their school.
