Nebo Football Teams in State Playoffs


Nebo football teams are in the State playoffs.

Maple Mountain played East High and lost 13 to 64.

Springville High played Alta with a win 42 to 14. Congratulations!

Springville Red Devils will play East High for State Championship on Friday, November 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Utah.

Salem Junior High Holds Successful Mock Election - Answer to Wednesday Challenge


Students at Salem Junior High were surrounded by a sea of “I Voted” stickers and talk of candidates and politics on Monday morning when the school put on its first-ever mock-election. All students were given the opportunity to vote for a new US President and Utah Governor, with ballots just like those the adults will be given, except this was an election where students were the voters. 

Nebo Education Foundation Grants November 2016

The Nebo Education Foundation is composed of 20 volunteer board members who live in cities serviced by Nebo School District.  Board members meet each month to review and award grant requests, consider fund-raising avenues and other items that advance the educational opportunities for Nebo School District students.  Many of the donations received are for selected projects, yet a substantial amount is available for the greatest need.  Greatest need monies are considered for grants submitted by area schools. 

Nebo's Fall Academic All-State Winners 2016

Nebo School Board of Education congratulated Julie Sumsion, Springville High School,  as a State Champion in the 4A Cross Country 3 Mile.

Nebo School District is proud of the many students that are winners and nominated to the Utah High School Activities Association and Deseret News Academic All-State Teams. Congratulations on a job well done.

Nebo School District wants to showcase our Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education. The award is administered by the Communications and Community Relations Department. 

Nebo Students Bring Home National FFA Honors

Nebo’s FFA teams traveled to the FFA National Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana. All these Nebo students were part of the nation’s largest youth leadership conference this past month. These students competed with 36 other teams from around the United States.

Following are the awards won by Nebo students:

Star: Kaitlin Hallam:  Finalist - won a $2,000 scholarship plus an educational trip to Ireland 

Proficiency: Kaitlin Hallam: Finalist - won a $500 scholarship 

High School Youth Board meets with Nebo School Board - Answer to Wednesday Challenge

The Nebo School Board of Education and Superintendent Nielsen meets with students from each of the high schools and junior high schools on a quarterly basis. Each Youth Board representative is selected by his/her principal to be a spokesperson for their school.

Salem Hills High and Spanish Fork High Honored for Concurrent Enrollment Classes


Salem Hills High School was honored by UVU for the Largest Concurrent Enrollment of all the schools in the state of Utah.  

Spanish Fork High School was honored by UVU for the Highest Percentage of Students taking Concurrent Enrollment classes in the state of Utah.

Nebo School District has amazing Concurrent Enrollment courses offered at each of the high schools. We just want to thank these incredible teachers, students, and the counseling staff that educates and encourages participation in Concurrent Enrollment that provides students with inexpensive college credit.
