On Wednesday, September 7, students at Maple Ridge Elementary were privileged to watch two Harlem Globetrotters in action.  Hollywood and PeeWee not only demonstrated their amazing abilities on the basketball floor but took the time to teach about responsibility.  Many students were selected from the audience to learn a few skills.  Teacher, DeAnn Sanders, was also recognized as the Teacher of the Year and given a miniature Statue of Responsibility in her honor.

Congratulations to Doug Lai for answering this week's "Where are we Wednesday?" challenge sponsored by Wiggy Wash.

Patriotic Flag Ceremony - Answer to Wednesday’s Challenge

Riverview Elementary started the school year off with the theme “Making Our Mark, Making It Matter!” The students gathered around outside the flag pole to witness several Spanish Fork Veterans in full uniform playing "To the Colors" on the bugle. The students felt patriotism as the National Anthem was sung, and they recited the Pledge of Allegiance together as a school. What a great welcome to a new great academic school year.

Congratulations to Ashley Mitchell for answering this week’s “Where are we Wednesday?” challenge sponsored by Wiggy Wash.
