Nebo District changes day for district-wide collaboration time

Nebo’s district-wide collaboration day will change to Monday instead of Wednesday beginning in the 2016 - 2017 school year. All students will continue to be dismissed 45 minutes early from school on Mondays. Nebo District implemented a highly successful, district-wide collaboration time in 2008. Collaboration time is specifically for teachers to focus on improved student learning and quality instruction.

Park View Penny Wars - Answer to Wednesday’s Challenge

The Penny Wars always gets students feeling competitive, but never more than this year. Mrs. Stirland made the goal to reach $3000 for the week to help purchase a new Chromebook Lab for the school.  Little did she know that, not only would the goal be reached, but essentially smashed!  The school earned over $5000 in pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters.  This is unheard of, folks!  Mrs. Stirland promised if we reached our goal, she would be duct taped to the wall.  Mrs.

J. Lynn Jones, Nebo School District’s Special Education and Federal Program Director, is the recipient of the Stevan J. Kukic Special Education Administrator of the Year by the Utah Chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children. 

Nebo Education Foundation Gives Grants April 2016

The Nebo Education Foundation is composed of 20 volunteer board members who live in cities serviced by Nebo School District.  Board members meet each month to review and award grant requests, consider fund-raising avenues and other items that advance the educational opportunities for Nebo School District students.  Many of the donations received are for selected projects, yet a substantial amount is available for the greatest need.

Nebo's First Elementary Keyboarding Championship

 

On Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Spanish Fork High School, hundreds of fourth- and fifth-grade students and their parents gathered for Nebo’s first ever Elementary Keyboarding Championship. Because of their remarkable keyboarding skills, the students were selected to represent their schools in the championship. The excitement in the SFHS Cafeteria was electric!
