Nebo Welding Invitational was well represented by all high schools within Nebo on January 22, 2016.

Welding Winners:

Payson Junior High Students Meet Music Composer

Payson Junior High invited an accomplished band composer, Darryl Johnson II, to come to the school and work with the band students n an effort to broaden the students’ appreciation for and understanding of the musical creation process. After giving insights into the piece he had composed, Darryl took us back to the place where every band concert starts—with a musical idea. As a class, the students developed musical ideas and, step-by-step, created a piece of band literature.

Springville Junior High choir selected to sing the National Anthem at the BYU vs LMU basketball game at the BYU Marriott Center in Provo, Utah.

Six More Nebo Administrative Appointments

Adam Gull – Principal Rees Elementary
The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Adam Gull as the principal of Rees Elementary in Spanish Fork. 

Adam received his master’s degree in elementary education with an administrative license from Southern Utah University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Utah Valley University.

Four More Nebo Administrative Appointments

Alan Ashton – Career and Technology Education Program Manager 
The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Alan Ashton as the new Career and Technology Education (CTE) Program Manager.

Mr. Ashton served as the assistant administrator of CTE programs for the past two years and as assistant principal at Maple Mountain High School for four years. He was assistant principal at Timpview High School for five years and previously taught electronics and video production at Provo High School for nine years.
