Mapleton Elementary is focusing this year on learning through movement. This is in conjunction with teacher in-service through the Growing Arts In Nebo Schools (GAINS) and an art project grant from the Utah Division of Arts and Museums. You are invited to bring your family to this “dance and the Child international/Utah” (daCi) Celebration of “Mountaineers Moving to Learn.”
Salem Elementary fourth-graders learned about recycling and taking care of our planet with an excursion to Salem Pond. The students are supporting their classmate, Lucy Moody. Lucy is currently the Mini Miss USA 2014 and is in Turkey competing for the title of Little Miss World 2014 where she is presenting her recycling project.

Nebo School District will present a Parent Awareness Night in accordance with Utah House Bill 329 Programs for Youth Protection. The topics of discussion will include:
- Substance abuse
- Bullying prevention
- Mental health services addressing depression, suicide awareness and suicide prevention
Several community service providers will be present to answer questions and help individuals to access services.
